established 1989...

Growing up in an automotive repair environment, Harvey (owner) learned much about the automotive trade working alongside his father, Keith Van Holst. Having begun in the Guelph area in the early 60's, the Van Holst family eventually moved to Waterloo in 1980 and operated the Shell service station and repair shop at the corner of Weber St. & University Ave.

In the fall of 1989, Harvey and his wife Gail took over the business from his father under Van Holst Automotive Limited. They continued at that location until 1992 when they moved to 231 Regina St, Waterloo.
